YOUR VISIT, YOUR CHOICE
Cookies & storage
A simple explanation of what this website stores.
Essential book bag
The willowwick:preorder-bag entry keeps selected book IDs and quantities in this browser. The willowwick:preorder-receipt entry remembers the latest private request reference and access token. A session-storage retry key helps prevent duplicate submissions. These entries contain no name, email or payment details. The separate willowwick:cart entry is reserved for future paid purchases.
Email preferences and older settings
Email-update permission is stored in the owner database, not in a cookie preference. The private email-preferences link is held only in page memory while you use it; it is removed from the address bar and is not saved in browser storage. Reopen the original email link if you refresh the page. An older willowwick:consent browser entry may remain from an earlier visit, but this site no longer writes or uses it. It does not authorise future tracking.
Owner sign-in
The private owner dashboard uses essential Cloudflare Access cookies to keep its authorised owner signed in. These are used for authentication, not advertising.
Optional measurement: your choice
Measurement stays off until you choose Allow measurement. The willowwick:measurement-choice-v1 local-storage entry remembers allow or essential-only for 180 days. Once allowed, willowwick:measurement-session-v1 uses session storage for broad source, medium, a recognised campaign label, landing-page category and pages already counted. It expires after 30 minutes or when the tab’s session ends. It contains no name, email, private link or unique visitor identifier. We send only permitted public paths and fixed categories to our own database, including consented request and signup counts. We do not send data to advertising platforms.
Changing measurement choices
Use Privacy & storage in the footer at any time. Essential only stops future measurement and clears the session entry. The choice itself remains so we can respect it. If browser storage is blocked, optional measurement stays off. Email-update consent is independent: changing measurement does not subscribe or unsubscribe you. No advertising pixels or third-party video embeds run on this site.
